Congratulations to the 2025 Marge Award Winner!

Helen Mariah Murdoch

Beginning in 2014, The Marge Award annually honors a Bart’s Bards member who truly embraces the mission of the organization. This is someone who has gone above and beyond to create a community of love and belonging, promoting Christian fellowship through the performing arts, and selflessly using their gifts to the fullest to help everyone around them bring our productions to the stage, for the inspiration and enjoyment of all. This is the highest honor bestowed upon a member of the Bards family.

our programs

The Bards perform a variety of shows throughout the year for audiences across the Cincinnati area.

Directed by Maddy Weinkam & Jeff Weinkam
Vocal Directed by Madelaine Wilkerson

The show will be ONE NIGHT ONLY on November 8th and rehearsals will be minimal. The show will be comprised of solos/small group songs and 3 large group numbers. You must be at least 18 years old and out of high school to participate.

The theme for this year is “Echoes of History” meaning we will be doing selections of songs from shows based on true stories

There will be no in person auditions this year. ALL auditions will be virtual! Video auditions must be received by September 14th at 5:00pm. Please send videos to BartsBards@gmail.com. What we need for your audition:
  • 16-32 bars of a musical theatre song you would like to perform in the show that fits the theme (you may be asked to sing something different for the show if the directors so choose)
  • A brief (1 minute or less) explanation of why you want to be a part of this year’s CaBARTret
Note: if you have participated in a Bart’s Bards show within the last 5 years and wish to ONLY be in the large group numbers, you do not need to audition. Just send us an email by September 13th letting us know you would like to be in the group numbers!

Bart’s Bards is holding an open Call for Directors for our Summer 2026 musical. Interested persons should contact Ron Mason (BartsBards@gmail.com) to schedule a 45-minute evening appointment time on Thursday, September 25, Sunday, September 28, or Thursday, October 2 at St. Bartholomew Church (9375 Winton Rd).
